ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The Fisherman’s Daughter is dressed in ocean blue, with a fishtail skirt, resembling a mermaid. Peering out a window to a windswept sea, and the boat tossed upon it, she is standing on several gigantic fish. As in much of this artist’s work, U.K based photographer Miss Aniela has digitally enhanced the photo, with images from fine art. Here she has superimposed elements from 'Still Life with Gold Bream' (circa 1808-1812) and an 1852 landscape by artist Marcus Larsson.
