ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In Ragged Rococo, a woman holding a parasol leans against a chair. Her formerly elegant gown is tattered as if alluding to a life once led. The little dog at her feet was adopted from a 1644 painting by artists Adrian van Utrecht, entitled 'Banquet Still Life' that hangs in the Rijksmuseum, in Amsterdam. By fusing contemporary fashion, with classical art history, and opulent sets, alluding to Rococo Revival, Miss Aniela’s work has become in demand by many collectors.
