ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In Melchior’s Medley, photographer, Miss Aniela, chooses from three separate works of art created between 1660-1695 from Melchior d’Hondecoeter, superimposing birds from the painting into her work. In the photograph, a woman is dressed in an outfit of large buttons. There are spools of ribbon cascading from her in red, blue and gold. This image was shot in The Hamptons (New York).
