ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Miss Aniela shot one of her most sought-after pieces, White Witch Awakening, in 2014. The shoot, originally shot for an ad campaign, involved posing a model styled by Leonid Gurevich as a ‘white witch’ amongst the extensive taxidermy collection of Aynhoe Park in Oxford, England. Gathering the animals together into the beautiful Orangery, and adding a live zebra, flamingo and vulture, Miss Aniela also created several more pieces of the model with both the real and stuffed animals. Here with the taxidermy lion - adorned with a crown - poses the ‘white witch’ in a beautiful and playful portrait.
